Coimbra-based Neuraspace has secured €15.6 million in new financing to accelerate the development of its AI-enabled Space Domain Awareness (SDA) and Space Traffic Management (STM) solutions.
The funding combines strategic private investment from Lince Capital, Explorer Investments and Armilar Venture Partners with support from Portugal’s Recovery and Resilience Plan. It will be used to expand the company’s AI platform, advance autonomous mission operations, increase its proprietary optical sensing infrastructure and develop NeuraspaceDEF, its dual-use capability for government and defence customers.
Founded in 2020, Neuraspace has recorded revenue growth of more than 350% over the past year and currently monitors more than 600 satellites operated by commercial and institutional customers, including the European Space Agency.
The company also has contracts with the Portuguese Air Force and NATO and was recently selected as prime contractor by a European Ministry of Defence, strengthening its position in the European dual-use space technology market.
The investment comes as the space environment becomes increasingly congested and exposed to risks including satellite collisions, cyberattacks, radio-frequency interference and GNSS spoofing and jamming.
Neuraspace’s platform combines commercial and sovereign sensor data with AI-driven risk assessment and autonomous decision support, supporting safer and more resilient space operations while contributing to Europe’s technological sovereignty.
