In line with the investment strategy launched in 2022, when it announced a €100 million spend in Spain for store openings and refurbishments, the company will continue to build its presence in the country with new openings. Notably, a store will soon open at the Los Alfares shopping centre in Talavera de la Reina, bringing its national store count to 68. This roll-out in Spain will be supported by an investment of €40 million.
At the same time, the company will modernise 11 stores located in Albacete, Algeciras, Cartagena, Cornellà de Llobregat, Fuengirola, Pamplona, Roquetas de Mar, Santander, Santiago de Compostela, Vitoria-Gasteiz, and Zaragoza. These refurbishments will include improvements to store design, optimised layouts, and the addition of new services, such as self-checkouts, in line with the group's refreshed image.
