Enrolment is now open for the online European Patent Administration Certification (EPAC) exams, which are scheduled for 5 November 2026. The complete set of EPAC modules targets professionals from across the innovation ecosystem, from early career entrants at companies and law firms to experienced patent administrators, formalities officers and paralegals.

As of 2026, the modules are taken separately, and their appeal expands beyond patent professionals. For instance, Module 1 targets European and international patent law, and can be of interest to law students. The full set of EPAC modules certifies professionals’ knowledge and skills in managing the filing, prosecution, grant and maintenance of European and international patent applications before the EPO.
