The 57% Pastel de Nata (Portuguese custard tart) Milk Chocolate, created by the Portuguese company Feitoria do Cacao, has been honoured with a Gold Award and a special reinterpretation prize at the 2026 edition of the International Chocolate Awards Europe, one of the sector's most prestigious international competitions.
Over recent years, this product has stood out as the brand's bestseller, winning over consumers across various international markets. This latest recognition reinforces Feitoria do Cacao's position as a benchmark in the production of high-quality bean-to-bar chocolate.
In addition to this accolade, the brand was also awarded for its Tanzania 60% + Sheep's Milk Chocolate, which scooped three Gold Awards, including the title of best chocolate in its category, Gold Chocolate Maker, and a special prize in the non-bovine milk category.
Furthermore, two Silver Awards were granted to the Nicaragua 57% Milk Chocolate + Nibs (2nd place in its category) and the Mexico Almendra Blanca 72% Dark Chocolate (5th place out of 180 entries).
Feitoria do Cacao is the first Portuguese brand dedicated to the production of artisanal bean-to-bar chocolate (from the bean to the bar). Founded in 2015 in Aveiro and currently based in Vagos, the company now exports to more than 17 countries across several continents.
