REGISTRATION
The expression of interest for the 29th edition of the INOV Contacto programme is now open. This initiative, promoted by AICEP, has been boosting the qualifications of young talent and strengthening the internationalisation of the Portuguese economy for nearly three decades.
At this stage, higher education graduates interested in gaining international professional experience, as well as companies and organisations wishing to host interns, can register their interest on the programme's website. Registered parties will be notified in due course regarding the official opening of applications.
Created in 1997, INOV Contacto is an international internship programme aimed at providing participants with professional experience within a global context. It promotes the development of technical, behavioural, and intercultural skills that are essential for their integration into global markets.
Throughout its numerous editions, the programme has delivered thousands of internships across 87 countries, involving around 1,400 host entities worldwide. This consolidates it as one of the most significant national initiatives for mobility and qualification focused on internationalisation.
For young participants, INOV Contacto represents a unique opportunity for direct contact with international business realities, allowing them to develop differentiating skills and enhancing their integration into highly competitive professional environments.
For companies, the programme constitutes a privileged gateway to qualified talent, with training tailored to the challenges of internationalisation. By hosting INOV Contacto interns, organisations benefit from young professionals with a strong capacity to adapt, a global vision, and skills aligned with the demands of international markets. Registering an expression of interest also allows companies to signal their availability to host interns and receive updated information about upcoming editions.
Promoted by AICEP—the public entity responsible for promoting the internationalisation of the Portuguese economy and attracting investment to Portugal—INOV Contacto is part of the national strategy to value talent and support the presence of Portuguese companies in international markets. It is supported by COMPETE 2030 – Innovation and Digital Transition Thematic Programme, with funding from the European Union.
