ANCI Lombardia, the Lombardy branch of the National Association of Italian Municipalities, has announced an expression of interest to join European project consortia for the upcoming LIFE-2026-CET funding call.
The organisation’s primary focus is the HEATCOOLPLAN topic, which aims to support the delivery of actionable, integrated, and comprehensive local heating and cooling plans across Europe.
Established in 1978 and headquartered in Milan, ANCI Lombardia represents nearly 1,500 municipalities in one of Europe’s most economically dynamic and densely populated regions. The association acts as a vital connecting body between local authorities, national institutions, and civil society, helping administrations implement European policies and climate goals.
Proven Value and Territorial Impact
With dedicated thematic departments focusing on the environment, energy transition, and the green economy, the association possesses an extensive track record in managing EU-funded projects under programmes such as LIFE, Horizon Europe, and Interreg.
Within a LIFE CET project consortium, ANCI Lombardia is positioned to deliver key strategic activities, including:
-
Municipal Mobilisation: Engaging and mobilising local public authorities and communities.
-
Capacity Building: Designing and executing training programmes, peer-learning workshops, and policy dialogues for local administrations.
-
Stakeholder Engagement: Mapping local stakeholders and facilitating multi-level governance processes.
-
Dissemination and Replication: Facilitating pilot actions, collecting local needs, and leveraging its vast network to ensure the long-term sustainability and replication of project results.
Targeted Strategic Partnerships
The Italian association is looking to collaborate with entities currently preparing project proposals under the LIFE-2026-CET Call (Topic HEATCOOLPLAN), specifically:
-
Energy agencies, research centres, and universities;
