Portuguese company Abyss & Habidecor, owner of the luxury home textiles brand Celso de Lemos, has launched a new in-house brand, Pierre de Lemos, marking its entry into the premium loungewear and travelwear segments.
The move forms part of the company's strategy to broaden its product portfolio while maintaining the premium positioning that defines the group. Abyss & Habidecor currently operates across the luxury bed linen, bath linen and rugs segments through its Celso de Lemos, Abyss and Habidecor brands, aiming to strengthen its leadership across all categories.
Asia becomes a strategic growth market
The launch of the new brand coincided with a visit by Pierre de Lemos to China, where he met local clients and business partners while exploring new growth opportunities.
Despite the current global economic uncertainty, Pierre de Lemos remains optimistic about the company's prospects.
The United States currently accounts for around one-third of the company's turnover, with another third generated in Europe and the remainder across other international markets. Although some operators view the European market as relatively subdued, Pierre de Lemos expects business conditions to improve during the second half of the year.
The family-owned company has built an international reputation for luxury home textiles that are entirely designed and manufactured in Portugal. Its growth strategy continues to focus on product differentiation, exceptional quality and close relationships with customers.
