Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP) has once again been recognised among the leading engineering schools in Europe, securing a place in the top 15% of institutions evaluated in the 2025 edition of the European Ranking of Engineering Programs (EngiRank). This achievement comes in a year marked by a significant expansion of the ranking, which included 55 additional higher education institutions, making the assessment more competitive and comprehensive than ever.
In 2025, FEUP ranked 34th among 239 institutions, with a final score of 74.36. Although this represents a slight drop in absolute position compared to 2024, when it placed 33rd among 184 institutions, the broader evaluation context means FEUP improved its relative standing from the top 17% to the top 15%. This shift highlights a clear strengthening of the Faculty’s competitiveness within a more demanding European landscape.
