Gamescom, the biggest event in the gaming industry, is taking place in Cologne at the end of August and Portugal will be well represented. APVP will be present in the B2B area of the event via the Portugal booth by eGames Lab, alongside Infinity Games, Redcatpig, Anybrain, Universidade Lusófona, and others.
Beyond these studios, Portuguese representation extends to the consumer-facing area via the Indie Arena Booth, which will highlight the work of Astral Shift and One Way Eleven. Gamescom runs from August 26 to 30 and is expected to be the biggest edition yet of the event, with all available areas fully booked this year.
The DevGAMM Awards ceremony returns to Lisbon for its third edition. Featuring a prize pool of over $100,000 USD and a jury with dozens of industry veterans, it is one of the premier opportunities for indie developers to gain recognition.
The event will take place on November 18 and will be streamed live on IGN, the official streaming partner. Developers with a playable build or a game released after September 2025 can still enter this year's competition. Submissions close on September 7, 2026.
