TekPrivacy, a spin-off from the Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade do Porto and incubated at UPTEC, the Science and Technology Park of the University of Porto, has been selected among the top 20 startups worldwide in the latest edition of the Protechting innovation programme.
The programme, developed by Fidelidade in partnership with the Fosun Foundation, Hospital da Luz Learning Health, and La Positiva, received more than 600 applications globally, making this its most competitive and international edition to date.
TekPrivacy is developing innovative data protection technology aimed at enabling organisations to extract value from data while ensuring compliance with privacy regulations such as the GDPR. Its solution, Tek-Risk, allows companies to accurately assess privacy risks when processing data for secondary uses, such as research, analytics, or product development.
By joining the Protechting programme, TekPrivacy will now enter a phase focused on developing of pilot projects, working closely with corporate partners to validate and scale its technology in real-world environments.
