The history of Nexteam in Portugal can be traced back to 2001, when a French group invested in a small Portuguese company from Arcos de Valdevez, later acquired by Ventana, which has since become part of the newly merged Nexteam Group.
Now with 2,400 employees across 22 production sites in eight countries, Nexteam highlights Portugal's talent and human resources as the country’s greatest advantages, along with its unique strategic location between Europe and South America.

The group’s plant in Portugal expects to ramp up production of a new engine lift, to be integrated with the two bestsellers Boeing 737 and Airbus 320, and to keep growing with these kinds of projects.
Despite the negative impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, Ulisses Freitas, Plant General Manager of Nexteam in Portugal, shares a positive outlook for the future and says the country “has a very good opportunity to help the development of this business in Europe”.
In his view, there are too many reasons to invest in Portugal, but “the quality of our products, the engagement of our workers and the country’s social stability” definitely stand out.
