This initiative is a result of a partnership between AICEP and Lazado, one of the leading importers and distributors in the home and fashion sectors in Saudi Arabia. Lazado, which already operates a flagship showroom in Riyadh, currently markets a variety of Portuguese products. For this event, Lazado will curate the selection of participating companies based on its extensive knowledge of the market and the preferences of Saudi consumers.
The showroom will bring together 19 Portuguese brands from the Home and Fashion clusters, showcasing the very best of national design and production: Viúva Lamego, Barroficina (tiles); TemaHome, X8, Ziya Concept, Alma de Luce, Marques e Silva, MainGuilty, Rondinart (furniture); Vista Alegre (tableware and decorative porcelain); Claraval, São Bernardo (decorative ceramics); Cutipol, Belo Inox (cutlery); Ferreira de Sá (rugs); Tavares 1922, Maria João Bahia (jewellery); Claus Porto and Essências de Portugal (fragrances).
This initiative aims to reinforce Portugal's reputation as a supplier of excellence in the Home and Fashion clusters; increase the visibility of Portuguese products among Saudi decision-makers and buyers; and support the consolidation of business relations between Portuguese companies and local partners.
Saudi Arabia is currently the leading market in the Gulf region and the second-largest destination for Portuguese exports, right after the United Arab Emirates. It is a market of significant strategic potential, driven by major investments in structural projects and by the hosting of large-scale international events.
The Home and Fashion clusters play a central role in this dynamic, reflecting the growing interest of Saudi consumers in high-quality design, lifestyle, and decorative products. Portugal has achieved international recognition in these areas, particularly for its furniture, home textiles, decorative items, and sustainable fashion.
