Domes Resorts announces the expansion of its European footprint with the addition of Cascade Wellness Resort in Lagos, Algarve, marking its second property in Portugal and third property outside Greece.
The Group will manage the five-star resort, owned by Hotel Investment Partners (HIP), one of the leading owners of resort hotels in Southern Europe, owned by funds managed by Blackstone and GIC, further strengthening its presence in one of Europe’s most established leisure destinations.
Located on the cliffs of Ponta da Piedade, the resort combines panoramic Atlantic views with proximity to Lagos, a destination known for its rich heritage, year-round mild climate, and renowned beaches. Set across 38 hectares, the property features 164 accommodations, inspired by the Portuguese Age of Discoveries.
The resort offers a wide range of facilities, including multiple pools, a spa, fitness centre, tennis courts, and FIFA-standard football pitches, positioning it as both a lifestyle and sports destination. Its culinary offering spans four venues combining international cuisine with local Algarve flavours, complemented by family-oriented facilities such as a kids club and football academy.
This addition reflects Domes Resorts’ strategy of expanding in key Mediterranean destinations through partnerships with leading institutional investors. The collaboration with HIP reinforces a shared vision to unlock the value of high-quality resort assets in prime locations.
Cascade Wellness Resort further strengthens Domes Resorts’ presence in Portugal, following Domes Lake Algarve, Autograph Collection, and underlines the Group’s commitment to delivering experience-led hospitality across Europe.
