This press release presents the regular update of the Monthly Short-term Indicators for monitoring the Portuguese economy, organized into seven major areas:
• External Framework
• Economic Activity
• Private Consumption
• Investment
• External Demand
• Labour Market
• Prices.
The press release is accompanied by the main statistical tables, with hyperlinks, whenever possible, to the indicators available in the database and to the corresponding methodological note.
With this release, the publication of the Short-Term Indicators in this format is ended. As of 19th of February 2026, the information will be made available through an interactive dashboard, updated on a daily basis, which will allow for a dynamic consultation of the indicators, as well as direct access to the updated statistical series in the Statistics Portugal database and from external sources, and the systematic consultation of the metadata associated with each indicator.
