The Portuguese footwear industry is gearing up for the winter edition of CIFF (Copenhagen International Fashion Fair), one of Northern Europe’s leading fashion and trade events, taking place from 27 to 29 January 2026 at the Bella Center in Copenhagen.
Among the Portuguese exhibitors are several brands and manufacturers that showcase the quality, innovation and design of footwear made in Portugal. Companies attending include JEF, New.ve, Vercesa, a.li.ás and Softwaves.
Portugal’s participation at CIFF reinforces the sector’s well-established internationalization strategy, focused on opening new markets and strengthening commercial relationships in Scandinavia and Northern Europe. The Copenhagen fair is regarded as a strategic platform for networking between brands, buyers and international fashion and lifestyle professionals.
For many Portuguese companies, trade fairs such as CIFF represent valuable opportunities to present their products, build partnerships and attract new clients in demanding markets, at a time when internationalization and global visibility are key priorities for the sector. Portugal’s presence at this event is part of an ongoing effort by the industry to increase the international projection of its brands and to consolidate the globally recognized reputation for quality of “made in Portugal” footwear and accessories.
Participation in international trade fairs like CIFF is part of the sector’s annual calendar and complements other promotional and business development initiatives in key markets, reinforcing the ambition of Portuguese companies to expand their influence across international commercial circuits.
