The applications for the Maria de Sousa Award are open.
The Portuguese Medical Association and the Bial Foundation are announcing the sixth edition of the Maria de Sousa Award, created to honour the memory of the Portuguese physician and great researcher.
The Maria de Sousa Award aims to award and support up to five young Portuguese scientific researchers aged 35 or under, living in Portugal or abroad, with scientific projects in the area of Health Sciences, including a mandatory internship in an international centre of excellence.
Each applicant selected as a winner shall benefit from support up to a maximum of €30,000. The application deadline is May 31, 2026.
