The choice of Portugal for the new Devexperts centre was the result of a combination of several factors. Paulo Pina Pires, CEO of Devexperts Portugal, highlighted that over the last decade and a half, Portugal has established itself as a true technology hub, which made it natural to set up the centre in Porto, where there is access to highly skilled talent. The country’s geographical location, with good connections to Europe and the Americas, further reinforced the strategic dimension of this decision.
Since its establishment in 2018, Devexperts Portugal has experienced rapid growth, evolving from a small European subsidiary into one of the company’s largest offices worldwide, currently employing around 240 people. Paulo Pina Pires noted that “the Portuguese centre’s contribution to the company’s global revenue is around 20 per cent, and the expectation is to at least maintain this level in the coming years.”
