Fujifilm Portugal is investing about €500,000 to open the country’s first House of Photography, set to launch on the 7th of November in the heart of Porto. Located on Rua Sá da Bandeira, the venue is designed to be much more than a store, positioning itself as a cultural and experiential hub devoted to photography.
Covering two floors and 220 square metres, the new space will host exhibitions by both Portuguese and international artists, offer workshops, events and product experience areas, and serve as a meeting point for professionals, students and photography enthusiasts alike.
This investment builds on Fujifilm Portugal’s strong presence in the country, where the company generates 55 million euros in annual revenue and employs 170 people. Beyond its economic footprint, the project strengthens Porto’s status as a hub of cultural and technological innovation as a creative reference on the European stage, boosting cultural tourism and creating opportunities for the local artistic and educational community, which includes more than 30 schools connected to the arts and design.
