ebankIT, a financial services company based in Porto in Portugal, debuted its artificial intelligence (AI)-based conversational banking assistant at FinovateFall 2025 in New York in September. According to a statement from the company, the AI assistant complements traditional customer service chatbots, acting as a personal customer advisor around the clock across numerous use cases, including transactions and fraud prevention.
The assistant uses agent-based AI technology built on Microsoft Azure, enabling it to meet the security, compliance, and operational requirements necessary for financial services, as well as to take actions controlled by the account holder.
