Lavoro, a Portuguese company based in Guimarães that specializes in the production of safety footwear, has once again presented its latest innovations and developments at A+A, an international trade fair and congress for safety and health at work. This took place November 4-7 in Düsseldorf, Germany. According to a press release, Lavoro showcased its new collections at A+A in addition to presenting SPODOS, a podiatry consulting service that has now been expanded with the addition of a 3D system for posture and musculoskeletal analysis.
SPODOS offers development, production and consulting services for work shoes tailored to different foot types, professions and environments. The new wearable 3D posture and movement analysis system is radiation-free and non-contact. Instead, it utilizes depth camera technology and AI algorithms to deliver a fast and precise analysis in just 30 seconds. The system displays posture development in three stages – ideal, current and deteriorating – and provides clear visual feedback.
The new collections include STRATOS, which has been developed for light industry applications, and the COSMICC range, designed for heavy industry, forestry, military and police. There is also the new SENSATO collection, developed with diabetic foot problems in mind. Other new additions include a shoe line specifically designed for women’s feet and the expansion of the SPACE TRIP collection, which takes space exploration as its inspiration. As part of the Augmanity project, Lavoro has also been cooperating with Bosch, Centi and the University of Aveiro, with the aim of integrating advanced electronics in professional footwear.
Lavoro will continue to use sustainable and traceable leather. The company also recycles its production waste by integrating it into polyurethane mixtures for injected soles.
