EY Portugal has expanded its presence in Porto with the opening of a new office in Icon Tower, a landmark building that symbolises innovation and sustainability. The move marks another step in the firm’s growth strategy, offering a state-of-the-art workspace that triples the size of its previous facilities to accommodate over 400 professionals in 3,500 square metres of flexible, technology-enhanced space.
The new office benefits from excellent access to transport and city amenities, reinforcing EY’s role as a hub for talent and innovation in Northern Portugal. The building’s design reflects EY’s commitment to wellbeing and sustainability, combining acoustic, lighting, and connectivity technologies to create a serene, efficient, and collaborative environment.
Inspired by Porto’s identity, the interior design pays tribute to the city’s most emblematic areas - from Ribeira to Boavista - through textures, colours, and materials that evoke the Douro River, traditional azulejos, and local culture. Each floor tells a story of the city’s heritage while promoting creativity, connection, and comfort.
According to Miguel Farinha, EY’s Country Managing Partner, the new space represents more than a workplace - it embodies the firm’s culture of collaboration and inclusion, strengthens ties with the community, and enhances the work-life balance of its teams. The expansion mirrors EY Portugal’s vision for the future: an organisation that unites innovation, sustainability, and human connection in every detail of its environment, bringing to Porto a renewed hub of talent, creativity, and economic vitality.
