On 23 June, Cas'Amaro will be featured at the Portugal Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka with an exclusive tasting of Portuguese red wines. The event highlights the Atlantic influence on vineyard climates and its direct effect on the wines' organoleptic profiles, offering a distinctive wine and food experience.
Five red wines from three wine regions — Lisbon, Setúbal Peninsula and Alentejo — will be presented in an innovative pairing with sushi. The tasting will feature the participation of renowned sommelier Tsukasa Matsuda, widely recognised for his expertise in pairing wines with Japanese cuisine. The winemaker (oenologist) Ricardo Santos is also participating.
The event, targeted at leading wine importers and distributors in the Osaka region, aims to strengthen Portuguese wines' positioning in the Japanese market through a memorable enogastronomic experience.
Cas'Amaro is a project grounded in architecture, design, art, wine, wine tourism and passion. It owns five wine estates across the Vinhos Verdes, Douro, Dão, Alentejo and Lisbon regions, each hosting wine production and wine tourism projects driven by a pursuit of excellence.
