US company Dextall is investing €10 million in Portugal to establish a new manufacturing facility in collaboration with Serralharia Cunha, a prominent metal construction company.
Dextall plans to utilize high-tech design software and sustainable factory fabrication for precast walls, allowing for quicker delivery to construction sites. This innovative approach aims to reduce project schedules by more than 80% and provide real-time integrated project data.
The Dextall Iberia manufacturing unit will be located in Braga, in northern Portugal, and will produce precast facades for the Iberian Peninsula. The new facility is expected to create 60 jobs and promote affordable housing solutions through advanced technology.
Additionally, Dextall aims to strengthen its presence in the Iberian construction sector by employing BIM (Building Information Modelling) technology and proprietary software. This technology facilitates process management from design to installation, enabling the production of facades to begin just two weeks after project approval.
