According to The Portugal News, Portugal has been ranked 15th in the Expat Insider 2024 ranking, which evaluates the best countries for people living abroad.
The ranking, which has been prepared by InterNations since 2014 and evaluates 53 countries, is led by Panama, which rose from 3rd place to 1st, followed by Mexico and Indonesia.
It is only in fourth place that the first European country appears: Spain was considered the 4th best country for foreigners, ranking right at the top of the index that measures quality of life.
Portugal is in 15th position, having declined in some of the indicators evaluated in this ranking, and dropping 5 places compared to the previous ranking.
On the one hand, the quality of life indexes (7th place), personal finances (13th), and ease of integration (15th) continue to perform well for Portugal.
In this ranking, where 12 thousand people of 175 nationalities participated, the last place went to Kuwait, while Turkey came in 52nd and Finland in 51st, the latter representing the biggest drop in the index this year, from 16th to 51st, due to difficulty in integration and a poor assessment of personal finances.
