Organized for the first time in Portugal, Techstars Startup Week is taking place in Guimarães from October 21 to 25. Techstars Startup Week is a five-day event, led by entrepreneurs, held in cities around the world to showcase the local startup ecosystem through meetings, talks, discussions and lots of celebration.
Organized for the first time in Portugal, Techstars Startup Week Guimarães will be a unique opportunity for entrepreneurs, students, businesspeople, investors and startup enthusiasts to get together and share knowledge, experiences and valuable tips for developing a business and the community.
During an intense week, participants will have the chance to get to know the region's startup ecosystem up close, attend inspiring talks and roundtables, discuss trends and innovations, and celebrate the achievements and progress made by the local entrepreneurial community in a truly inspiring atmosphere.
The initiative, which has the partnership of the Municipality of Guimarães, through the municipal incubator Set.Up Guimarães, SITIO, Startup Portugal, 351 Associação Portuguesa de Startups, ANJE and AICEP and will take place at SITIO Guimarães, located at MITH - Minho Innovation & Technology Hub. Among the program's speakers and mentors, we can find some of the most awarded founders in the national ecosystem, such as André Jordão, CEO of Barkyn, and João Pedro Ribeiro, COO of PeekMed, representatives of the largest companies in the region, such as João Almeida, operations leader at JFAlmeida, and Arqt. Mário Fernandes, Director at Grupo Casais, or innovative entrepreneurs like Sofia Manso, CEO of Academia da Felicidade and head of the People and Happiness department at Grupo Bernardo da Costa.
