LD Helmet inaugurates factory in Portugal

Siemens in Corroios celebrates 30 years of innovation

The Siemens factory in Corroios marks 30 years of operation in 2025. Founded in 1995, it initially produced electrical panels, but pivoted in 2019 to focus on DC fast chargers for electric vehicles, becoming a leader in e-Mobility. With over 280 employees and a capacity to produce 3,000 units annually, Siemens' Corroios plant solutions are deployed in over 30 countries, including electric bus chargers in Portugal and ultra-fast charging points for light vehicles.
Microsat, a Chinese satellite development agency, in collaboration with Portuguese universities, will launch an Aerospace and Oceanic Industry Excellence Laboratory in Valença do Minho, called STARLAB. The laboratory will focus on developing technologies for space exploration and sustainable oceanic energy and is expected to foster innovation, support tech startups, and generate highly skilled jobs.
