Applications for the Prize are open, aiming to distinguish scientific articles on “Internationalization of the Portuguese Economy in Post-Covid-19: Opportunities and Challenges”. Promoted by the Office for Strategy and Studies (GEE), due to the theme, the award has the collaboration of the Agency for Investment and Foreign Trade of Portugal (AICEP).

The total allocation of €12,000 (twelve thousand euros) will be divided among the 4 (four) best articles submitted to the competition.

This is the 9th edition of the GEE's Call for Papers initiative, whose objectives are to promote knowledge and research on the Internationalization of Portugal and to function as a forum for discussing public policy solutions in the area.

Submission deadlines are October 31, 2021, for preliminary versions of articles, and, for those that are pre-selected, December 31, 2021, for final versions.

The admitted articles are subject to an evaluation process by the Scientific Committee, composed of Guida Nogueira (GEE), Joana Silva (Católica-Lisbon), João Amador (Banco de Portugal), Nazaré Pimparel (AICEP) and Pedro Cilínio (IAPMEI).

This 2021 Internationalization Call is part of the GEE's mission to stimulate the elaboration of original scientific articles on the Portuguese economy, in structuring themes, relevant to the various phases of public policies, with preference for the use of empirical data. The relevance of the Awards and their theme is also part of one of the main missions of AICEP: to promote the internationalization of Portuguese companies and support their export activity.
