Agência para o Investimento e Comércio Externo de Portugal

NOS recently launched a cloud-based technological structure, more capable, interactive and scalable, which allows the development of advanced mobility studies, in real time and with high spatial granularity. Also, this technological advance allows for greater intelligence and automation in the treatment of mobility data.

Lastly, this solution can add more value to mobile data, transforming it into insights capable of supporting decision-making processes by public and private agents, whether for research purposes, public policy implementation or business analysis.

As one of the major telco players in Portugal, NOS has been developing, since 2016, an advanced analytical structure on top of the data generated by its mobile network operations, properly aggregated and anonymized, in order to create representative and relevant new sources of information that are extremely useful for advanced mobility studies, reinforcing its leadership in this area.

In the context of the Covid-19 health crisis, the use of empirical data sources, capable of providing reliable information in real time, has become an absolute priority to fight Covid-19 pandemics.
