The master's programmes of Nova SBE University, Católica Lisbon School of Business & Economics and Iscte Business School have made it into the 2023 Financial Times Masters in Management ranking. The master's programmes of Portuguese institutions are now among the best in the world.

Nova SBE maintained its position as a national leader. It is currently the only Portuguese university in the Top 15 of this ranking.

Pedro Oliveira, Dean of Nova SBE, highlights the school's performance and results: "The consolidation of Nova SBE's international vocation is a reality, and we could not be more proud of the path we have taken. In the global era we live in, it is the students themselves who 'demand' international experiences, and the fantastic results we obtained in this ranking in the main international parameters – 41 per cent 'international teaching staff' and 13th position in the 'international labour mobility' criterion - confirm that Nova SBE has an internationally recognized reputation for excellence".

In addition to this recognition, other honours have been awarded throughout the year: the Financial Times rankings: Executive Education, which reached the best position ever achieved by a Portuguese school - 18th place worldwide and 15th in Europe; and International Master's in Finance - 11th position worldwide.

The second Portuguese university included in this ranking is the Católica Lisbon School of Business and Economics. With a rise of 19 places in the last two years, the university now occupies 26th place - the best position it has achieved since it was included in this ranking 13 years ago.

For Filipe Santos, Dean of Católica Lisbon School of Business & Economics, the placement in this ranking "is a validation of our strategy of standing out for the quality and rigour of our knowledge and learning, attracting the best teachers and students and currently being one of the best business schools in the world".

Iscte Business's Master's in Business Management is in 62nd place, making it into the Top 90. This represents a rise of 12 places in the Financial Times ranking.

Maria João Cortinhal, Director of Iscte Business School, states that "the 12-position rise reflects our commitment to students, faculty, staff, and partners and consolidates the international reputation of Iscte Business School as a reference school for those seeking excellence in education and career progressionThe dedication of our faculty and the exceptional quality of our students are the pillars that support the success of Iscte Business School. We are proud to lead in Portugal and to be among the best globally in the percentage increase of our graduates' salaries, as well as in the quality-price ratio of our master's program. These achievements reflect the excellence we pursue daily and solidify our prominent position in the Financial Times Masters in Management 2023 Ranking".

The inclusion of these three Portuguese universities in the Financial Times ranking reinforces the international recognition of Portuguese education, which is increasingly among the best in the world.
