A new international hub dedicated for fintech innovations will open its doors in Sweden, a government press release confirms.

Located in Stockholm, the Nordic Innovation Centre will keep Denmark, Iceland, Norway and Sweden in the forefront of research into digital solutions and analysis of fintech innovation while promoting international cooperation on technical financial innovations between central banks. The Riksbank will co-finance the hub with SEK30m every year. “That Sweden has been chosen to host the centre is very positive and a testament of Sweden’s leading role within fintech and digitalisation,” Per Bolund (MP), Minister of Financial Markets and Housing, said.
