Air France has announced the extension of the Ready to Fly service to 140 routes and 600 daily flights, including the French airline's flights to Portugal.

According to a statement from the airline, Ready to Fly, which was launched in July 2021 and allows Air France passengers to have their travel documents confirmed before their flight, has been “acclaimed by customers”, which is why Air France has decided to expand its application and gradually roll it out across its entire network.

“Since its launch, Ready To Fly has already been used by more than 600,000 customers”, reveals Air France, explaining that this service allows automatic verification of the vaccination pass, which has been mandatory on domestic flights in France since January 24, 2022, for all passengers aged 16 and over (except to/from Corsica and the Overseas Territories).

“This feature is accessible a few days before departure, following the classic Ready To Fly process: customers receive an email in which they are invited to send Air France their vaccination pass through a secure online platform,” adds the company.

Passengers using the service for the first time can also “scan the QR code of their vaccination passes when checking in at a self-service terminal at the airport on the day of departure”, in a service that is currently available in Paris-Charles de Gaulle, Paris-Orly, Bordeaux, Lyon, Marseille, Montpellier, Mulhouse, Nantes, Nice, Strasbourg and Toulouse.

“This functionality will be integrated directly into the online check-in process in the coming months”, indicates Air France.
