Finland and Portugal are both at the forefront of global efforts to reach carbon neutrality by 2050, having been among the first countries in the world to set that target. The role of the industries is crucial in the transition to carbon neutrality and innovative zero-carbon solutions are needed. The EU Recovery and Resilience Fund provides significant support for investments in such solutions.
A delegation of Finnish companies offering zero-carbon solutions for various industries will be visiting Portugal in mid-November, together with Under-Secretary of State for Economy, Mr. Petri Peltonen. During the Seminar, the Finnish companies will present their offerings and the Under-Secretary of State for Economy will present the Finnish Roadmaps for Decarbonization of Industries. We will also hear about the Decarbonization Program of Business Finland, the government organization for innovation funding and trade, travel and investment promotion of Finland. From the Portuguese side, we will hear about the decarbonization measures in the Road Map for Carbon Neutrality as well as the relevant reforms and investments under the Portuguese Recovery and Resilience Plan, led by IAPMEI. Companies will also benefit from a presentation of AICEP.
