Recent changes within Greece’s National Energy and Climate Plan (NECP) are making the country’s renewables sector even more competitive and is expected to continue growing at a CAGR greater than 4.2 percent during the forecast period of 2022-2027. There are notable policies to fast-track the deployment of renewable energy projects from five years to 14 months as well as the state subsidized feed-in tariffs for green electricity via tenders to reach the country’s target of 28 GW of renewables by 2030, also including 8 GW of energy storage plus the development of a Green Hydrogen economy and regional hub.
