Airbus is expanding its operations in Portugal by opening a satellite office in Coimbra in Q1 2023. There will be up to 100 open positions to work in this new location for Airbus in the country. After opening the main hub of its Global Business Services (GBS) in 2021 in Lisbon, which already employs over 350 talents and expects to hire until the end of the year up to 100 employees, Airbus is looking to hire now in Coimbra in the fields of Accounting, Procurement, IT Systems, Human Resources and Travel &Expenses.
After a very successful ramp-up phase in its operations in Lisbon, hiring 200 people in 6 months, Airbus GBS decided to open a satellite office to be closer to a new diverse talent pool. Coimbra stood out as the most relevant city due to its great strategic location, transportation options and infrastructures available, mainly through the Polytechnics and University, where thousands of students choose to develop their education in various domains.
The recruitment campaign will start in a few weeks and the first hires should be welcomed to the Coimbra office in the beginning of 2023. Airbus Global Business Services opened in Portugal in May 2021 and it’s an international development platform for Airbus talent in Europe. It currently has over 350 talents in Lisbon working in the fields of Finance, Human Resources, Procurement, Information Management, Engineering, Communication, Customer Services, Legal and Compliance.
