Belgrade-based power producer CNJ Neo Energo has proposed to build a 10-MW wind farm and a 10-MW solar farm in eastern Serbia.

The plan was unveiled by the municipality of Golubac, which this week invited the public to view and comment on the early-stage proposal.

The documents show that the project promoter seeks to install three wind turbines and a solar farm on land mainly used for agriculture. Some of the land has been abandoned or neglected.

According to the proposal, the area around the city of Golubac has potential for renewable energy development.

CNJ Neo Energo was established in 2019. The firm is wholly-owned by Portuguese entity Parjo SA.
