Papaya Films have opened their fourth office in Portugal. Joining the production company’s London, Warsaw and New York branches, this brand-new creative hub will be headed up by Kacper Sawicki, CEO and executive producer at Papaya Films.

“Having an office in Lisbon will enable us to extend our service offer for clients in the UK, Europe and the US as well as strengthening our position on the primary production market,” says Kacper. “The additional location and casting capabilities offered by the Portugal branch will complement and extend our current resource pool.”

When asked about the specific benefits for UK clients, Kacper added: “We now have two excellent locations in our portfolio. Poland and Portugal are very appealing for film and advertising producers due to their uniqueness and diversity. To top it off, in Portugal we have stable weather from March to late October.”

Having four offices on two continents means that Papaya Films are ready to work under any conditions and in different time zones. Especially now, when the mobility of people is limited, their production and communication tools are being seamlessly applied. “Currently, up to 70% of work in advertising production can be done remotely,” says Kacper. “Since the beginning of the pandemic, Papaya has completed several dozen productions for clients such as: Ikea, GSK, Unilever, Procter & Gamble, Nestle, Calsberg and RB. Besides providing standard production we also produce events – a string of productions for multiple brands under one client umbrella. What’s more, we also offer an entire remote post-production process.”

For 14 years, Papaya Films have been continuously evolving and expanding, exploring new territories and asking ‘what’s next?’ The team are proud that in the last six months they have not only preserved the strength of the company, staying at the forefront of production, but they have also managed to complete new hirings that will be announced soon. “I have never been so excited to see what the next couple of years are going to bring,” concludes Kacper.
