After the United Kingdom included Portugal in the list of air corridors, British tourists never stop arriving. The booking of trips to Portugal has skyrocketed 723 percent after the end of compulsory quarantine and there are already bookings in the Algarve until October, reveals Jornal de Notícias.


The sale of airline tickets to Faro has soared by between 400 percent and 1,250 percentg to Ryanair already increasing the number of planes flying to the district capital. TAP had also advanced to ECO that it is experiencing “significant” demand for flights from the UK to Portugal.


In this scenario, the hotel sector is experiencing a significant increase in demand from the UK market which could extend beyond the summer: there are bookings for September and October. In the case of reserves in local accommodation, there is an increase of 47 percent.
