The new center will be localized in Loulé, with excellent road access and with easy access to Faro airport. The Municipality of Loulé has shown great interest in hosting the LDC and other local partners such as IFP, the City Council and the University of Algarve (UAL) have been involved in order to create the necessary conditions. Partnership protocols with UAL are already in place and underway, which will enable the creation of synergies for research and technology-based university resources integration.
For the first year (2020), 25 percent country business growth is expected, based on the gradual growth of the team throughout the year, with the goal of reaching around 80 new employees by the end of 2020.
According to Octavio Oliveira, Sales Manager at Atos Portugal, “The creation of this LDC is based on a flexible local delivery and distribution model that combines the right resources at the right cost in the right place with the goal of generating business value, measurable for our customers. In this way, Atos will strengthen its presence in the Portuguese market, contributing to the investment in the region and the retention of qualified labor. We believe it will be a project of great social impact for the Algarve region, where we want to highlight the great support provided by Câmara Municipal de Loulé, which has been invaluable since the first moments of this project.”
