eDreams revealed that this summer 36 percent of the tourist are coming from France, followed by German tourists (13 percent) and Swiss tourists (10 percent).
The Portuguese archipelagos are the most visited areas of the country, with Ponta Delgada, in São Miguel, Azores, the most visited city, followed by Funchal, in Madeira.
On average, 36 percent of the tourists stay in the country for about seven to 13 days. 22 percent stay for more than 14 days.
However, some people just come to Portugal for a short break, 21 percent of the visitors stay in Portugal for three or four days, while five percent spend only two days in the country according to the report.
