This event targeted only General Consulates and Trade Commissions present in New York from all around the globe and intended to showcase the Cyber Center project and attract foreign players and investment into the initiative.
The Cyber NYC, a multi-pronged, is based on $100 million public-private investment to make New York City a global leader in cybersecurity and create 10,000 good jobs. In a nutshell, Cyber NYC is a suite of strategic investments to grow New York City’s cybersecurity workforce, help companies drive innovation and business development, and build networks and community spaces.
Cyber NYC is composed by 6 different programs which are Global Cyber Center; Hub.NYC by JVP; Inventors to Founders; Cybersecurity Moonshot Challenge; Applied Learning Initiative; Cyber Boot Camp; and Cybersecurity Startup Radar.
AICEP New York was present at this event and had the opportunity to connect with key stakeholders of the local community, increase its network on the cyber-security space and evaluate potential partnerships with NYC EDC and Mayor’s Office for International Affairs.
