Today, Baku hosted Azerbaijan-Portugal business forum. The event was organized within the framework of Portugal’s FM Paulo Portas’s visit to Azerbaijan by the support of Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Economic Development and organization of AzPromo.
Along with officials of both countries, businessmen engaged in construction, food industry, ICT, chemistry, equipment production and etc attended the forum.
Delivering speech at the event deputy minister of economic development Niyazi Safarov that Azerbaijan provided macro economic stability and durable economic development. He noted that Azerbaijan was an attractive and available country for foreign investors, and it is investment exporter.
In turn, Portas spoke about opportunities for development of existing relations and cooperation between the two countries, the role of entrepreneurs in extension of economic ties. He expressed sureness that economic relations between Azerbaijan and Portugal would develop more.
Vice-president of AzPromo Gulshan Rzayeva delivered speech about favorable business atmosphere and investment advantages created n Azerbaijan. Trade adviser of Portugal’s embassy in Azerbaijan Selesta Mota introduced presentations economy of Portugal.
During the event, AzPromo and Foreign Trade and Investment Agency of Portugal (AICEP) signed a memorandum of understanding on mutual cooperation
Within the business forum businessmen held a number of bilateral meetings.
