In 2010 there were 1 168 964 enterprises in Portugal (less 4.5% than in 2009), from which 97.9% were non-financial enterprises.

The turnover generated by the non-financial business sector reached EUR 356 390 million in 2010 (4.6% more than in 2009), from which 60.6% were generated by SMEs and 39.4% by large enterprises.

 

The gross fixed capital within the non-financial business sector was EUR 18 654 million in 2010, showing a decrease of 11.2% comparing with 2009.
