The Forum was focused on tech, travel and the information age.
The aim was to update potential investors and leaders of the Portuguese community regarding the economic climate of Portugal as a prime investment destination. Further, the forum praises the image of Portugal as a technological hub and as exporter of innovative products and services of global quality.
The morning was composed by three panels with well know speakers from American and Portuguese companies, such us Rafa Ali (CEO and founder of Skift), Elizabeth Crabill (USTOA Board of Directors & CEO), Miguel Frasquilho (Chairman of the Board of TAP Air Portugal Group) and Nuno Pimenta (Industry Head Travel, Retail & Start Ups, Google Portugal).
Also, the event counted with the presence of Pedro Siza Vieira (Minister in the Cabinet of the Prime Minister and Economic of Portugal), Luís Araújo (Chairman & CEO of Portugal National Tourism Board) and Luís Castro Henriques (Chairman & CEO of AICEP Portugal Global). The first panel was about "Movers and Shapers: The introduction of new technologies in the tourism industry", the second was concerning "Technology, Sustainability and Talent: Pillars of the new economy" and the last one was regarding "Leading the Future of Tech".
Following the Portugal Economic Forum took place a Gala dinner organized by the Portugal-US Chamber of Commerce (PUSCC). This Gala dinner is a high level network event that brings together international executives and industry leaders, institutional stakeholders and directors of Portuguese organizations with presence in US market.
