CABEÇALHO

It was a busy week for WeTek, as the portuguese company was spread across two events simultaneously showcasing their video distribution solutions - IBC in Holland and CCSA Connect in Canada.

IBC is seen as the world’s most influential media, entertainment and technology show, taking place from the 13th until the 17th of September. Exhibiting at Hall 14, known for its “Content Everywhere” theme, WeTek’s reach spanned way beyond it, being also featured in the Google presentation regarding Android TV, letting the world know they have successfully implemented Widevine CAS into their solutions.

This year’s show was specially eventful in that XRoadMedia was shown as a partner and welcomed as co-exhibitor. XRoadMedia’s server, as well as their cloud based content discovery and recommendations back-end solution is now fully integrated into WeTek’s portfolio, further ensuring that their already feature packed tools are able to enhance usage data collection and deliver the best metadata enrichment, personalization and analytics services to their customers.

Attendees came from all over the world with requests in line with the company’s offers, further ensuring WeTek is on the right path and securing the answers for the industry’s needs and challenges.

The same goes for Connect, an event promoted by the Canadian Communication Systems Alliance (CCSA) acting for Canada’s independent internet, television and telephone providers which serve hundreds of thousands of Canadians living in communities generally outside urban markets. WeTek’s solutions proved ideal for regional markets as they are well rounded, easy to deploy and versatile enough to explore never before though options.

The yearly event took place from the 16th until the 18th of September and joined WeTek with some of the country’s most influential players, establishing partnerships that will hopefully make a difference in that spectrum of the business.
