Portugal entered the Top 20 major economies of the optic fiber market. In 2009, the country exceeded 40 thousand homes connected and 1.1 million houses passed gathering the conditions to enter this ranking. The announcement to the Portuguese Press was made by Karel Helfen, President of FTTH Council Europe. FTTH will hold its 7th conference fiber-to-the-home on the 24th and 25th of February in Lisbon.
