ISQ - Instituto de Soldadura e Qualidade
The ISQ is a private Portuguese entity. Some of ISQ areas of expertise are Laboratories, Materials and Mechanical behaviour, Civil and Electrical Engineering, Quality Certification and Technical Inspections, Research and Development.
ISQ has invested, in the last ten years, more than 55M€ in R&D projects in-house, national and in the different EC Frameworks, including aerospace in partnership with different organisations such as EADS, Rolls-Royce, MTU, NASA, Agusta Westland and Airbus, among others.
The high level of testing capacity of ISQ group of certified labs, offer a large range of technical expertise in space and aeronautics, to clients such as OGMA, Thales Alenia Space, Snecma Propulsion Solide, ESA/ESTEC among others.
As members of the GIE ESQS, ISQ is providing at the European Space Center – French Guyana, in a permanent basis since 2003, technical inspections for CNES and Arianespace, to Ariane and now, as well, Soyuz.
Some other high qualified international reference clients are CERN, ITER and the European Southern Observatory.
