Incentives, supported either by EU aid-budget or by Portuguese Public Budget can assume different types: Financial Incentives, Job-Creation Incentives, Training, and Fiscal Incentives.
Provided we have information enough on the project, we will be glad to make an incentives package simulation
Fiscal Incentives
(Investment Relevant Applications over 5 Million €)
- tax credit from 5% up to 20% of relevant applications (upon requirements)
- exemption or reduction of municipality tax (IMI)
- exemption or reduction of property acquisition tax (IMT)
- exemption of stamp tax duty
Financial Incentives (QREN - NATIONAL STRATEGIC REFERENCE FRAMEWORK 2007- 2013)
Job-Creation and Training Incentives (upon fulfillment of given requirements - first time employment or long-term unemployment)
· Benefiting from the European Community Support Framework for 2007/2013.
· Exemption or reduction of social-security charges
Ideas to be retained about QREN
- EU Commission continues to impose limits on State Aid;
- Incentives are more focused on R&D, innovation, partnerships between companies and joint efforts by public and private entities;
- Incentives programs favour the promotion of a knowledge based society, placing the emphasis on added-value activities.
