Barclays Global Headquarters, 1 Churchill Place, Canary Wharf, London
2nd November, 2010 12.30 pm – 4.30 pm
Following the success of last year’s Innovating Portugal’s seminars, aicep - the Portugal’s Business Development Agency and Barclays – the only British bank operating in Portugal, announce the 2010 series of events about Innovating Portugal, more than you imagine, with the support of the Confederation of British Industry, the British Chambers of Commerce, the UK Trade and Investment in Portugal and in the UK, the Portuguese Chamber of Commerce, and the British-Portuguese Chamber of Commerce.
The theme for the third conference in the Innovating Portugal series will be “Sustainability: Portuguese solutions for a better Future” and will take place on the 2nd November, from 12:30 until 17:15 at Barclays Headquarters, Canary Wharf, London. It aims to reinforce business relationships between key players in the sector from Portugal and UK, as well as looking at ways to develop the synergies between both countries to improve cross border business opportunities.
The event programme consists of a networking lunch followed by a plenary session looking at investment conditions and business opportunities in Portugal and with Portuguese companies, the economic relationship between Portugal and UK, an overview on the sustainability concerns and industries in the UK and Portugal, and case studies of successful partnerships between Portuguese and British companies. At 3.15 pm take place three round-table break out sessions on Urban sustainability and Energetic Efficiency, Sustainable mobility, and the Oceans. This event has the support of the British Institute for Sustainability, the Renewable Energy Association, and the Society of Maritime Industries.
