Innovating Portugal - Breakfast Seminars

Portugal will surprise you.

Did you know that in 2008 43% of the electric energy consumed in Portugal was derived from renewable sources? Or that Portuguese Software Companies work with NASA and the European Space Agency in their outer space discovery programmes? Did you know also, that Portuguese Healthcare Companies are among the best in the world? Not to mention that all over the world you will find new construction solutions designed and created by Portuguese engineers. Since the 15th Century, Portugal has looked to the Oceans to enable it to discover, link continents and spread local knowledge and methods.

aicep Portugal Global - Business Development Agency, has partnered with Barclays Portugal and Barclays UK, to host a series of events designed to introduce you to an INNOVATING PORTUGAL. Running from June to December, the events are aimed at bridging perceptions of Portugal as a land with a rich cultural heritage and a top tourist destination to a country of new discoveries and research and innovation. The events hosted at Barclays Global headquarters in Canary Wharf will also have the support of the Confederation of British Industry, the British Chambers of Commerce, the Portuguese Chamber of Commerce, the UKTI, the Forum of Private Business, as well as several British Trade Associations, active on the sectors which will be profiled at the events.
